Scott Pio

Scott Pio, is a seasoned technology leader with more than two decades of experience in software engineering, architecture, and team leadership, complemented by a strong commitment to community building and public service. Based in the Northern Virginia area (Sterling/Herndon), he brings a unique blend of technical expertise, entrepreneurial drive, and civic engagement to everything he does. Currently focused on impactful work while actively involved in Virginia politics, Pio describes himself as “Working on Something BIG,” guided by the principles of God, Family, Country, and Hard Work.

Pio’s professional journey spans elite defense contractors, government agencies, and innovative startups. He has held senior and lead software engineering roles at organizations and specialized firms. His work has ranged from rebuilding services and implementing solutions for report generation tools, developing geospatial and workflow applications for military and law enforcement use, to creating internal software for police video using technologies. He has consistently delivered under tight deadlines in high-stakes environments.

A versatile full-stack architect and developer, Pio is proficient across multiple ecosystems including Java, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, and databases. He has designed features, written specifications, built prototypes, and led development teams from concept to deployment. At one company, his leadership in automation and team processes earned multiple awards for saving hundreds of thousands of man-hours and “Best Zombie Killer” for resolving critical issues.

Entrepreneurially, Pio founded several companies since 2012 as CEO, Product Manager, and primary developer. He built entire platforms from the ground up, serving the global community with management software that has supported over 20,000 active users.

Pio’s foundation includes a BS in Computer Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, where he served as Director of the Digital Domain, creating multimedia, 3D models, animations, and even a virtual campus game on the Unreal engine. His early career involved IT administration, server management, and multimedia production, alongside leadership experiences as an Eagle Scout, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity member (named Brother of the Year), and editor of a monthly newspaper.

Beyond technology, Pio is deeply committed to public service and conservative values. He served as Past Chairman of the LoudounGOP in Virginia. Along with volunteers, they won 17+ local seats in blue Loudoun County and raised $1.2+ Million Dollars. He ran as a candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates representing Loudoun County. He advocates passionately for strong Republican principles, party accountability, effective outreach, and fighting for the community he serves. His political engagement reflects the same problem-solving mindset and leadership he applies in engineering—dissecting issues, building coalitions, and driving results.

A lifelong learner who thrives under pressure and values continuous growth and education, Pio is also known for his excellent communication skills and ability to write compellingly. He excels at recognizing problems, rallying teams, and delivering solutions across both technical and organizational challenges. His diverse background includes refereeing championship sport events, and a dedication to family and faith.
